Students of Suryadatta pledge to take care of their parents during their entire life after their visit to Old-age Home

In our Indian Culture, it is our tradition to treat the parents like Gods. In real life do we really follow such rich heritage? To have the insight and to realize the bitter facts of life and thereby to make the students understand their duties towards their parents, Suryadatta Group Of Institutes organized a visit of their students of Fashion Design & Interior Design discipline to Janaseva Foundation’s Old Age Home at Ambi near Panchshet Dam, Pune.
Suryadatta Education Foundation organized a visit to ‘Janaseva Foundation’s – an Old-age Home’ for students of Interior Design & Fashion Design Department.
This Visit was organized keeping in mind to make the students aware & realize the bitter fact of life & to know how important it is to be internally strong in order to keep once surrounding strong & supportive. Also to know the importance of our parents in our life. It was also needed to make students understand the space design from the oldage people’s point of view & their requirements related to interior space & their daily wear outfits suiting to their age & comfort level. ‘Janaseva Foundation’s Oldage Home’ is located at Ambi near Panchshet Dam, Pune. It is located in a refreshing nature’s womb. It is been established at the year 1985 by Dr. Vinod Shah, M.D., renowned Gastroenterologist, associated with many prominent hospitals in the city is the founder-chairman of Janaseva Foundation. A highly accomplished physician and teacher of medicine, by overpowering inner urge to be of service to the India’s poor, sick and the powerless people who needed it most got the better of him and he founded the Janaseva Foundation in 1988. Almost 180-200 old age people are residing there. All the necessary care has been taken by the Janaseva committee members from their daily leaving, food, cloths & shelter. A daily time table has been followed for these people, which includes their daily exercise, resting, meals, different entertaining activities, maintaining their hobbies etc.
The Founder Dr. Vinod Shah .has taken a great efforts & initiative in Contributing to this great Social cause. Students were emotionally touched by meeting these innocent old people & learned a lot from them. More over these old people were extremely happy & pleased to meet & spend time with these young & enthusiastic children. At the departure time our Principle Mr. Ajit Shinde addressed everyone & spreaded the sweetness he felt by singing a song. Everyone took an oath of being supportive & helpful to their parents in their further life ahead. All & all it was a memorable & learning visit for everyone.

Exhibition SPARK-2015



The, Suryadatta institute of vocational and advanced studies (SIVAS) had organized an unique exhibition cum sale- “Spark 2015” on 19th, 20th and 21st Dec’ 2015. The exhibition featured the student’s creativity and talent. The approach behind the exhibition was to lighten the path for others to follow. Through this exhibition the students were given an equal opportunity to represent their talent and creativity in front of others. The fashion and interior designing students of SIVAS with their creative minds had exhibited their learning journey with all of us. The chief guests for the inauguration of the exhibition were Mr. Mani Garbhe - the director of Atul Overseas Pvt Ltd, Pune and Kingfisher apparels, London, Miss. Manjiree Manolkar- the deputy collector and project director of BARTI, Mr. Ashok Wankhede and Dr. Sanjay Chordiya- the founder president and dean of Suryadatta group of Institutes. The inauguration of the exhibition began at 12.30 pm. The programme followed by the assembly of the students where the guests addressed the students. Mr. Mani Garbhe in his speech explained the importance about E-marketing in the fashion designing field and how practical knowledge is important for every person to exhibit in the future; Miss. Manjiree Manolkar explained the influence and the importance of design. She also gave information about the modern designing, Mr. Ashok Wankhede gave information related to communication skills which the first major aspect for achieving goals. The fashion designing students had prepared creative handmade products for sale. Along with this the students had also made products using the various techniques learnt by them in the workshops conducted by the college faculties. There were also other stalls such as mehendi, tattoo, readymade ladies and girls wear and food stalls. Through this the students learnt about the marketing techniques and facing the challenging world. The students received 100% response towards their stalls and almost all the products got sold. They also received additional orders.

Everyone enjoyed the learning journey of the students and the feedback received by the visitors was mind blowing. The students were appreciated for their creativity and talent. Students also enjoyed the exhibition and are looking forward the next exhibition in dec’2016. Through this exhibition the confidence in the students was boosted and now they are confident enough to display their work in front of others.

Suryadattas Students win second prize at National level Technocrat Event at Ahmedabad

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading professional Society. Established in 1953 by a group of pioneers in the field of Electronics, Telecommunication and related disciplines, IETE today has more than 70,000 members spread all over India. IETE, through its members & 158 Centres, provides leadership and professional fulfillment to aspiring engineers in the field of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science and Information Technology. It also conducts and sponsors technical conferences, symposia and also publishes technical papers along with continuing education 10 its degree and diploma student members.

The IETE had organized an exhibition & convention on Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Products & Services from 22nd – 25th September, 2011 at Ahmedabad aimed at showcasing subsystem products, models, photographs, modules, 10 Services for rural development with various vendors, R&D Organisations, Government agencies and users.

Suryadatta’s 10 students actively participated at this event. The convention started from 22nd September. This day was allocated to various technical games & quizzes like Roborace, Roberta, Robomase, Line follower, Code Debugging , Circuit Debugging and Debate, Paper Presentation, poster presentation etc for the students. Students from Suryadatta, Binay Modi & Swati Patil won the second prize at the Technocrat Event in Code Debugging. There were total 118 teams from cities like Ahmedabad, Delhi, Vadodara, Pune, Bangalore,Guwahati, Chennai participating in these events.

The students had a good opportunity to interact with students & professionals from other Institutes and Industries. It was also a good Industry- Institute Interface exposure for them and all of them have immensely benefited from it.
